Petition Action

Medal for key workers, NHS staff & volunteers who worked during shutdown.

Petition Details

I believe that all people who worked during the shutdown to ensure that essential services were provided should be awarded a medal. This should go to all key workers, pharmacy staff, NHS staff, charity workers, delivery drivers, carers and volunteers.

Additional Information

During the Coronavirus shutdown many people who were previously under appreciated have continued to work, often at risk to themselves and their families, to ensure that essential services are delivered to the public. They are not people who have previously received much recognition and they do not receive huge salaries but still they have turned up to do their job each day. I believe these people should be formally recognised with the award of a medal.
