There should be a consistent standard for the grading of all degrees in 2020.
There should be an agreed guideline published, for all universities to follow in this Covid-19 crisis, meaning that there is a consistent approach.
Following the closure of all Universities, and the move to online teaching as a result of Covid-19, thousands of students are finishing their degrees at home. Across the UK each University has taken a different stance on how to grade their students. Meaning some students will have been provided with a 'safety net', while others do not. Employers will not be comparing 'like with like' which will make an already very difficult employment market even harder to navigate.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about university teaching, assessments and exams are a matter for individual universities, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you have concerns about your university's arrangements for teaching and assessment you should raise these with your university or the Office for Students, which regulates the higher education sector.
We understand that the current situation is stressful for many people, including students. Student Minds, a mental health charity for students, is collating guidance and developing resources to support students experiencing stress as a result of the current situation, which you may find useful: www.studentminds.org.uk/coronavirus.html
