Request a statement from the Government about Universities and our Examinations
All schools and colleges have been given instructions to cancel examinations for GCSEs and A Levels, however Universities have not been told anything and we deserve a statement and final decision on whether examinations will take place and if so how they will take place.
We have had the same impact as schools and colleges so we deserve the same treatment, with either cancellation of exams or different type of exams because we have not been able to go into university to use facilities or go to any lectures.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about university teaching, assessments and exams are a matter for individual universities, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you have concerns about your university's arrangements for teaching and assessment you should raise these with your university or the Office for Students, which regulates the higher education sector.
We understand that the current situation is stressful for many people, including students. Student Minds, a mental health charity for students, is collating guidance and developing resources to support students experiencing stress as a result of the current situation, which you may find useful: www.studentminds.org.uk/coronavirus.html
