Grant automatic permanent Settled Status free to ALL deemed to be key workers.
Parliament should quickly legislate to award Settled Status / indefinite right of residence for all those key workers , and their direct families, who are helping pull us through the Covid 19 crisis and who currently do not have this. Furthermore this should be done at no cost to those individuals.
Key workers (and their direct family members) are valued and desperately needed in our society, as the Covid outbreak has displayed to us all beyond any doubt.
A huge number of our key workers, having come from overseas, do not currently enjoy the security of certainty that they will never be asked to leave the UK. This should not be the case. These people are currently putting their own health at daily risk for the benefit of the UK as a whole. Their commitment is not in doubt.
