Cancel all university assessments and exams due to strikes and Covid-19.
The government should make universities cancel all exams and assessments after weeks of strikes and now Covid-19 which means students have missed out on weeks of teaching and help. Their work will not be up to standard and this isn’t fair.
Due to strikes and now Covid-19 lectures and seminars across the country on all different courses have been cancelled for university students. Students cannot be expected to complete work when they have been disadvantaged for the whole academic term and as a result they won’t do as well on exams or assessments. Further, some university’s have cancelled everything whilst others are still expecting students to do work, this is unfair and there should be an equal standpoint across universities.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about university teaching, assessments and exams are a matter for individual universities, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you have concerns about your university's arrangements for teaching and assessment you should raise these with your university or the Office for Students, which regulates the higher education sector.
We understand that the current situation is stressful for many people, including students. Student Minds, a mental health charity for students, is collating guidance and developing resources to support students experiencing stress as a result of the current situation, which you may find useful:
