MPs should refuse the £10,000 increase in expenses due to Covid-19.
In light of the pressures facing communities across the UK, Parliament should refuse the £10,000 increase in expenses that Members have been given.
This is a time for solidarity. While key workers are being expected to carry on working for the same pay and expenses as before the Covid-19 pandemic, MPs have been awarded an increase in expenses that represents a large proportion of the earnings of many key workers.
In honour of the hard work that these workers put in each day, MPs should turn down this increase and lead by example.
