Those having to work during covid-19 should not be subject to tax increases
In order to pay back the cost of furlough and business grants, the government is likely to introduce both austerity measures, and tax increases once the crisis has subsided. Those that have not received any financial support, should not bear the cost of re-paying this. They should be protected.
Many people are having the wonderful benefit of being paid to be safe at home with their families. To see people boasting about how they're loving the fact they're spending their time sunbathing in their gardens, getting fit on bike rides, and having time to fix-up their houses and gardening is demoralising, knowing that we who have been working during the crisis, will also be likely to bear the cost of repayment. People who have worked and not received benefits, should be dealt with separately.
