A higher minimum wage for people in a caring job and funding to cover it.
In the next budget the Chancellor should create a two-tier minimum wage with a second, higher, minimum wage for people employed in a caring capacity. He must also guarantee central funding to cover this so that it doesn't impact on the budgets of care providers or councils.
No matter what your position in society we all, at the most vulnerable points in our lives, rely on people who are not given the recompense they deserve. We tell them we value them, now it's time to show it.
