Petition Action

Lower tax rates for all key-workers during COVID-19 outbreak

Petition Details

Reduce tax rates by at least a quarter for key-workers whilst working through the Covid-19 outbreak, and stop taxing key-workers for working over their contracted hours.

Additional Information

Key workers jobs are essential and they are putting themselves in danger to provide essential support for the country. They are being penalised by the tax system for overtime they are undertaking. They are not unskilled workers, they are supporting the country to continue running and they should be recognised and receive some form of tax relief during this time to support their loved ones and give them a better quality of life.
