Tax break / relief for NHS, private health and social care sectors.
Can people working both in the NHS and private health and social care sector be considered for tax relief or breaks as we are doing more than our contracted hours due to the Covid crisis yet being taxed so much that it is not physically and economically worth it to actually do overtime?
At present, loads of health and social care sectors are working more than their contracted hours not because they want to but because we are needed by our patients colleagues. Most of us are working an average of 48-60 hours per week to cover shortages. However, we will be expected to pay the taxman ridiculous amount of money for doing "overtime." Realistically, I know my colleagues would rather be at home than risking their lives front lining the fight for Covid. Yet, we are still here.
