Petition Action

Implement a rigorous testing and contact tracing programme

Petition Details

Until a safe vaccination is available, to introduce a comprehensive testing and contact tracing programme as part of the Government strategy to end the lockdown to protect citizens from a second wave of COVID-19 and save lives

Additional Information

Germany and other countries have demonstrated that the most effective way to control the pandemic is by continuous and comprehensive testing and contact tracing followed by isolation for those infected by Covid-19. The government’s delay in initial implementation of this strategy has resulted in thousands of deaths. Before the current lockdown is lifted the government is urged to put testing and contact tracing in the forefront of their exit strategy.
