Petition Action

Issue a 'campaign' medal to NHS clinicians and carers after the COVID-19 crisis.

Petition Details

I would like Parliament to recognise the bravery, determination and self-sacrifice shown by our NHS staff and carers, during the COVID-19 crisis, by approving the issue of a medal to those staff.

Additional Information

Doctors and nurses have given their service selflessly and at considerable personal risk during the COVID-19 crisis (some, sadly having lost their lives to the disease). They have shown a level of courage and determination which has previously been recognised, by the issue of campaign medals, to our armed forces. The level of service and dedication our clinicians have shown is no different to that shown by our military prrsonnel in past conflicts.
