Petition Action

Introduce a minimum starting wage of £40000 for all Nurses.

Petition Details

Ensure that all Nurses, Midwives and Clinical staff currently starting on below £40000 are now hired at that level, and furthermore those already working in the NHS have their compensation increased accordingly. Additionally there should be statutory pay increases in line with annual inflation.

Additional Information

After 10 years of cuts and underfunding, the government has now been forced to recognise how critical the NHS and those working within it are to our nation. It is about time that those nurses, midwives and other clinical staff were paid according to their importance to the rest of the country.
This move would be a lasting way of thanking those in the NHS for their selfless work, not just through this period of uncertainty, but throughout its existence.
It's time to put things right.
