Reject MPs additonal expense allowance of £10k to work from home due to Covid-19
Block or reject the proposed expenses increase for MP's; any increase will clearly demonstrate the governments greed in looking after themselves, particularly at a time when doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals on the front line struggle for basic equipment.
Sir Lindsay Hoyle noted that the addional £10,000 expense allowance is to enable MP's to setup home working.
The majority of the nation have had to make the switch to working from home. Every citizen has had to do this without aid or assistance. It should be no different for MPs whom are already able to claim up to £26,000 for expenses per annum.
This decision demonstrates how out of touch the government are with the general population and this practice of looking after themselves needs to stop
