After Coronavirus, invest in green and clean industries to stimulate the economy
Economic stimulus after Coronavirus should prioritise green and clean energy industries. Examples with high employment opportunities include better home insulation, tree planting, investment in railways and electric car charging points. Please don’t bailout the airline or fossil fuel industries.
After Coronavirus there will need to be heavy investment in the UK, in order to restart our economy. This should take the form of a Green New Deal - https://www.greennewdealuk.org/
This is a reset moment for the global economy. The pandemic has shown us that extreme changes are possible and fast when lives are at risk. Lives are at risk from climate change.
Let us use this moment to keep making bold choices and get to a zero carbon economy faster together.
