Implement a windfall tax on hedge funds
As hedge funds are set to make profits from the market volatility associated with the coronavirus crisis, the government should implement redistribution from profitable but entities like hedge funds to genuine key workers and persons who have been adversely affected.
To ensure that in times of crisis such as this, there is a fairer sharing of the burden in an effort to maintain social cohesion.
