The New Year Honours list 2020
I would like the UK Government & Parliament to reserve The New Year Honours list 2020 for NHS front-line workers, Intensive care doctors and Nurses and nurses who cared for Covid-19 positive patients.
The reason for my this petition because I am anxious that the government will award The New Year Honours list 2020 to the People who were standing behind the TV cameras and making decisions away from the front line. Not I view their work any less important, but the real heroes are the one who are facing the danger.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because it asks for someone to be nominated for an honour.
Members of the public can nominate people for honours directly, although it is not possible to nominate a group or organisation for an honour. You can find out how to nominate someone for an honour here: www.gov.uk/honours
We have accepted petitions calling for the Government to award people working in essential occupations medals, which you might like to sign.
If you want the Government to award Covid-19 medals to all emergency services and involved armed forces, you may wish to sign this petition: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/302613
If you want the Government to create a medal to honour the fortitude of people working in essential occupations, you may wish to sign this petition: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/308035
