Include NHS staff who gave their lives during COVID19 pandemic in Nov ceremonies
All NHS and healthcare staff who have laid down their lives during the COVID19 pandemic should be remembered during the 11th November ceremonies this year. A roll of honour should be read aloud at the Cenotaph on the first Remembrance Day following the lifting of social distancing.
Never in living memory outside of military conflict has so much been asked of any group of individuals. They have carried on their vital work willingly all the while knowing the potential consequences. The risk and rigour is unquestionable and it is only right that they are remembered alongside our nation’s glorious dead from past conflicts. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.
