Award a collective George Cross to the NHS
There have, to date, been two collective awards of the George Cross; Malta and the RUC (PSNI).
The GC is awarded "for acts of the greatest heroism or for most conspicuous courage in circumstance of extreme danger".
The NHS, and all those who are a part of it, meet these criteria.
The NHS has faced an unprecedented national crisis in the form of the SARS-COV2 (COVID19) pandemic.
Repeatedly and consistently people from across the entire institution have, in the face of great personal danger, continued to provide care and support for those of us who need it the most.
It is extremely hard to demonstrate the gratitude of an entire nation to an institution. Perhaps, through awarding the GC to the NHS, we might be able to show them some of the love they have shown us.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
You may wish to sign these petitions calling for the same action.
