Give nhs staff a pay rise instead of giving mps £10,000 to work from home
Due to the recent outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid 19) the nhs and its staff are on the front line of this battle against this recent pandemic, the staff are working tremendously hard to help those who have and don’t have the virus and are working the long hours, these staff need a pay rise
The staff deserve the pay rise they should have been getting for years, it’s shocking that a nurse is classed as a low skill worker under the proposed plans of the new UK visa, nurses should be making more than £24,500 in this country, it’s shocking that our nhs workers are struggling to feed themselves before hand and during this pandemic, it’s time mps stopped taking money not required for there job and give it to our health service staff who deserve it the most
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for setting MPs' pay. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' expenses and pay. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
You can find out more about IPSA here: www.theipsa.org.uk/about-us/
Donating money would be a decision for individual MPs, not the UK Government or Parliament.
