Let's pay our NHS Nurses a fair salary for the work they do.
Nurses in the UK are significantly underpaid for the work that they do.
For example, a nurse in the UK earns on average £25,653 compared to £38,535 in a similarly developed country, Australia.

Nursing salary has not even kept up with inflation.
In 2010, a starting (not average) pay for a newly qualified nurse was £21,200; it is now £24,200. Factoring inflation, this is a 5% decrease. MPs’ pay rose from £66,000 in 2010 to £79,500 in 2020. Factoring inflation MP pay has increased by 2%.

I want to correct this by an immediate one off salary increase for all nurses of 10%. There must be no impact to the Agenda for Change proposals.
