Give £10k extra to all Health Care Assistants, Nurses and Social Care Workers.
Reverse the contingency provision for MPs to claim £10k additional home-working expenses re Covid-19 and give £10k extra salary permanently to all Health Care Assistants, Nurses and Care Workers.
THEY are putting their lives at risk, some still without adequate PPE, and deserve proper recompense.
These key workers are tirelessly bearing most of the brunt of this awful Covid-19 Pandemic. Having worked in both local government and NHS for many years, I am well aware that these same people can hardly be considered to be well-off.
Now IS the time, Matt Hancock, not to debate a pay rise but to do the right thing, lead by example and give it.
I have not included doctors or other frontline staff because I believe that those on the lowest NHS pay scales are the ones that need this the most.
