Petition Action

Furlough key workers on unpaid leave due to being higher risk from COVID19.

Petition Details

The government needs to support key workers who are on unpaid leave due to health problems that place them at higher risk from coronavirus.

Additional Information

It is simply unfair that people with health conditions that place them in higher risk groups are being forced to work or take unpaid leave while so many with no underlying health conditions are entitled to Furlough because they are not classed as essential. Without a shielding letter the vulnerable are either left without pay or they have to go to work in a place where social distancing is often impossible. Now is the time to help ALL those who need it. Let them have furlough!
