Investigate the disproportionate death rate COVID-19 has on BAME patients.
The BBC and ICNARC reveal 'emerging evidence' to suggest COVID-19 is having a disproportionate impact on people from BAME commuinities. Over a third of patients who are critically ill in hospital with the virus are from these backgrounds.Government needs to immediately address this issue.
We want the government to urgently launch an investigation into the disproportionate death rates COVID-19 has on Black and ethnic minorities in the UK.
We want the government to research and analyse findings and publish these results for the general public.
The Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre found that 35% of almost 2,000 COVID-19 patients were non-white,Nearly triple the 13% proportion in the UK population as a whole.
More research needs to be undertaken into these figures.
