Petition Action

Create an NHS and health worker day to honour their work during Covid-19

Petition Details

I propose that we make the day that we see a significant reduction in deaths and cases of Covid-19 a national day of recognition for all NHS and health worker staff. As well as our weekly clapping, we should encourage healthy activities like running, jogging or walking to raise money for them.

Additional Information

The health care and NHS workers have been, and continue to be, the front line of defence against this awful pandemic. All across the country we are honouring them - from running 5km to raise money, to clapping them from our homes each week. I want this day to be annually recognised, so that we use the memory of their fight against Covid-19 to not forget the tireless work they do all year round - not just during situations like these.
