Honour Captain Tom Moore for his inspiration and fund raising for the NHS.
The Government should honour Captain Tom Moore on the occasion of his 100th birthday in recognition of his inspiration of the British people to raise millions of pounds for NHS charities.
Captain Tom Moore, assisted by his daughter and son in law, wanted to do something to thank the NHS staff for the care he had received. He set himself a simple yet demanding target. Despite great difficulties in walking and requiring use of a walking frame, Capt Tom committed to walk her a 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday at the end of this month. That commitment has been an inspiration to the nation and encouraged over 325,000 people to back his fundraising.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We know lots of people want to petition for Colonel Moore to receive an honour, but the Government will only accept individual nominations, not petitions, so we can’t publish your petition.
