Petition Action

Rearrange the academic year to Jan-Dec in order minimise the impact from COVID19

Petition Details

This petition proposes rearrangement of the academic year to Jan to Nov, similar to Australia with schools reopening in September or even later this year once isolation terminates. Suggested term time rearrangements: 11th January - 28th April(Spr) 18th May - August 9th(Sum) 6th Sep - Dec 3rd (Aut)

Additional Information

This allows schools to reopen in September to recover from the 3 months lost from the academic year caused by COVID-19, with the new academic year commencing from 2021.
This further allows for extended isolation if required in September, further preventing anymore lost academic time.
