Additional Information

To go through this much effort at his age, to succeed in raising such a mind-boggling amount of money for the NHS - and to make such a difference not only to the NHS staff but also to the country's morale,
- Captain Tom Moore surely deserves knighthood!

He beats - hands down - all our "clapping" for the NHS staff on Thursday nights,
which pales into insignificance compared with this lovely man's determined action.

Knighthood is the least that the government can do to express our gratitude - which is surely due!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We know lots of people want to petition for Colonel Moore to receive an honour, but the Government will only accept individual nominations, not petitions, so we can’t publish your petition.
