Allow pregnant NHS frontline workers not to work during Covid-19 outbreak
Provide financial support and extend maternity pay period for pregnant keyworkers particularly those on the NHS frontline and are in their 2nd or 3rd trimester , have underlying health conditions or pregnant women that have higher risk pregnancies so they do not have to work during outbreak
Pregnant women have been placed in the vulnerable group by the chief medical officer and have been advised to self isolate however many are still having to work on the frontline and are coming into contact with the virus. The unfortunate death of Mary Agyeiwaa Agyapong, a pregnant nurse who contracted Covid-19 highlights the need to protect not only NHS staff in general but also recognise the needs of vulnerable pregnant NHS staff
