Captain Tom Moore should be given a knighthood for raising millions for the NHS
Captain Tom Moore has raised more than £13 million for the NHS after completing his challenge to walk 100 lengths of his garden. At aged 99 this is no small feat and truly represents the best of British spirit during the coronavirus.
His efforts should be recognised by the Queen with a knighthood.
Express.co.uk is calling on the Government to put this request before the Queen so that Captain Tom Moore’s work can be officially recognised.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We know lots of people want to petition for Colonel Moore to receive an honour, but the Government will only accept individual nominations, not petitions, so we can’t publish your petition.
