Shorten this summer's school holiday to allow for 'catch up' on the school year
Cancel or shorten the school summer holidays of 2020, to allow for pupils to 'catch up' on the missing weeks of term-time - due to the closure of schools in the pandemic. (This should not be mandatory and children can remain absent. The school should also seek a volunteer staff team if needed)
School pupils have missed so much of the school year, and it's only right that they should be given the opportunity to have that time re-paid.
For many, the 6 week holiday is already enduring and, with children having missed so much school already, many a family/ pupil would happily wish to take advantage of a 'summer school'. Those that don't wish to, can remain at home.
