Limit any fees charged by Just Giving for NHS Charities
I want government to limit the fees charged by Just Giving and similar sites to what it’ll actually cost them to process any NHS charity donation pages. Ensuring they aren’t making a profit from donations at this valuable time and people’s generosity. Fees to be inclusive of labour costs.
Because there is no accountability in these sites. At this current moment in time, Captain Tom Moore's 100th Birthday Walk for the NHS has raised around £18,179,000 - Just Giving charge 25p per donation, plus a 2.9% processing charge. At this moment there is 895386 donations - £217,346.5. And then 2.9 is £527,191. That’s £744,537.5 - there needs to be accountability in these strange times.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government or Parliament isn't responsible for enforcing contractual terms on specific businesses. You could start a petition calling for a limit on payment/card fees across all industries, if that's something you'd like to see happen.
