Refused furlough - make CJRS mandatory
Make the CJRS mandatory and rehire employees that were made redundant due to Covid-19 and furlough them. Otherwise thousands of employees are at risk of zero income, no job opportunities in this uncertain economy, mounting bills and emotional distress, despite being eligible for the CJRS fund.
Many companies have embraced the CJRS, but some companies are still refusing to furlough eligible staff and are still laying off employees without pay.
This is hugely disappointing and shows incredible lack of compassion from these companies, at a time when we should all be supporting each other.
