Test everyone in the UK for COVID-19 and close the UK borders
We would like the government to test everyone in the UK for COVID-19 and shut down the borders. The lockdown currently in place is sensible but it is not effective without these additional measures. The government must implement additional measures so we can actually defeat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Without these additional measures, it will be exponentially harder to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic. Germany closed its borders and has been testing tens of thousands of people - and it’s handling the crisis much more effectively than the UK. Evidently, these measures must be implemented to allow the lockdown to truly be effective and allow us to return to normal.
