Improve Transport in Major Cities by Installing Moving Walkways (Travelators) on Suitable Pavements
The walkways would operate within clear ‘glass’ tubes to protect passengers (and equipment) from the weather. Where necessary, the tubes could be suspended above pavements, waterways or intersections. The walkways would cost less than trains or trams, provide a healthier (and greener) form of transport, be less vulnerable to terrorism and enhance the city’s image.
