Increase pay to junior nurses and non-clinical front-line essential NHS staff
In order to attract more people to this line of work and retain quality, qualified staff, we as a nation should prioritise better, higher pay for these indispensable members of our society.
In general, this kind of work in the public sector is not rewarded well enough under the current salary guidelines and in particular, in light of recent events (COVID-19) it is clear that the commitment, bravery and sacrifice of these individuals needs to be properly recognised, both in terms of present decency and ensuring the workforce for the NHS of tomorrow. This represents a far greater statement than a round of applause every Thursday night.
