Petition Action

Extend the Brexit transition period by the maximum possible period of two years

Petition Details

The British public are currently having to deal with the awful human and economic consequences of the COVID-19 Global pandemic. We don't want a potential no deal brexit outcome compounding our problems on December 31st. Government should focus entirely on fighting COVID 19.

Additional Information

Under the terms of the Withdrawal Agreement, the Brexit transition period can be extended for up to two years if a request is made before June 30 this year. The government should do the right thing and apply for the maximum 2 year extension before June 30th. We need to work together with the EU to beat COVID-19 and not isolate ourselves as a society and nation.
