NHS frontline staff & carers on less than 30K to be paid £500 per month bonus
Give NHS frontline staff and carers on less than 30K per annum an immediate monthly bonus of £500 backdated to the start of lockdown. Continue this until the virus is defeated. Then have an immediate review of the pay for the lowest paid NHS workers. Give them a significant appropriate pay rise.
This government is not funding the NHS adequately. It is not paying fronting staff and carers an appropriate wage for the work they do. It’s perfectly clear the lifesaving work they do is undervalued and underpaid not just for the duration of the Corona Pandemic but simply for their normal workload.
