Exclude tax haven companies from coronavirus relief schemes
Following the example of Denmark and Poland who recently announced plans to exclude companies who have used tax havens to avoid paying their taxes. Those companies should use the money they have retained by exploiting the system.
The Government should not allow these companies to claim relief money if they have already withheld vast sums at the expense of the taxpayer. That money should be for those who don’t exploit the system for their own benefit, especially when there are so many better uses of taxes than bailing out billionaires’ failing companies, such as better security for the self employed, or better funding and provision for the NHS.
