Petition Action

Extend Brexit transition period

Petition Details

Extend Brexit transition period by 1 year before June 2020

Additional Information

There is insufficient time (with Coronavirus) for EU Citizens and crucially their partners/children to arrange retainment of their EU rights. example: a Danish national living in England with partner (unmarried) and children born in UK - children lose EU rights unless they lived in Denmark for x period before age 21. the British partner equally only retain his EU rights if he goes to live in Denmark before Dec 2020. We can't currently go and register in Denmark - has to be done in person.
