Use a test/identify-trace-isolate policy to exit the COVID-19 lockdown.
Once incidence is lowered, starting area-by-area, we ask the government to move to case isolation (identified with extensive testing and on symptoms), full contact tracing, and quarantine of contacts to manage coronavirus and lift lockdown. Appropriately quarantine people moving within/into the UK.
It will allow economic activity to resume and save thousands of lives. It is a win-win strategy, allowing management/possibly domestic elimination of the virus until a vaccine is available. It is broadly the South Korean/Singaporean approach, with demonstrated effectiveness.
Other approaches require continued lockdowns, with huge economic and social disruption, and cost many more lives
These approaches have been shown to be effective and are supported by large numbers of experts and researchers.
