Revisit the grant scheme for Golf Clubs effected by Covid 19 panademic
Due to the amount of ‘land’ golf clubs have, the rateable value is over exaggerated in relation to size of premises. Golf Clubs are really struggling due to the closures and many will not survive. My club has a rateable value of just over £60,000 with £33,000 being course. missing £51,000 cut off.
Make the grant scheme available for these sports clubs by taking out the course element of rate value. Or just make funding available to Golf Clubs. It will be very important when we leave lock down for these facilities to be open. The golf industry is already struggling across the UK and this could be the final nail in the coffin.
