Petition Action

Stop all benefits to people capable for work and increase NHS workers wages.

Petition Details

Carry out frequent work capability assessments on all people claiming benefits and escalate prosecution for wrongful claims i.e. fraudulent single parent or disability declaration.

Additional Information

The amount of benefits paid out to non-deserving recipients in the UK is a travesty. Since the COVID19 outbreak we all claim to be so grateful for our NHS and key workers, lets do more than a weekly round of applause! Nurses, other NHS workers and emergency service workers are paid a pittance and yet television programs like 'Benefits Street' are allowed to exist. Mr Boris Johnson expressed his immense gratitude for the care he received from our NHS, lets give back to those commendable.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly whether you want the Government to do more to tackle benefit fraud or change existing benefits.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
