Petition Action

To re-name one of the UK's May bank holidays 'Key Worker Day'

Petition Details

In recognition of the commitment, & for ongoing acknowledgement of those working, & who died as a result of being at the frontline during the 2020 coronavirus COVID-19, to re-name one of the May Bank Holidays

As lockdown continued in May, it's the best time to remember key workers in all sectors

Additional Information

It is only right that, given that the UK government has encouraged key workers across all sectors to keep key functions in the UK running during the COVID-19 pandemic 2020, they recognise and encourage the rest of the country to acknowledge the work and sacrifice key workers have made in future years, by naming one of the May Bank Holidays after them.
