Petition Action

Save HMS Plymouth

Additional Information

HMS Plymouth the last of the Type 12 familiy of frigates (including the Leander class) has been sold for scrapping. Following the failure of the Warship preservation trust. This ship took part in the retaking of South Georgia and the Landings on the Falkland Islands. The Surrender of South Georgia was signed in her ward room. I ask that the MoD and Department of Culture media and sport save this ship and preserve her in Portsmouth or Chatham historic dockyards.
