Reserve one day per week for the vulnerable to go out.
Reserve one day each week when only the vulnerable and elderly are allowed out, to give them the opportunity for relatively safe shopping and exercise, whilst still maintaining social distancing.
The elderly and vulnerable will be locked in for the longest. Many of them are not able to access on-line shopping, are often lonely and miss social contact. However, they will most likely be locked in for the longest, and their mental health is likely to be affected. Reserving one day a week for the elderly and vulnerable to go out will help them, but not impinge too much on the rest of the population.

The regulations creating certain restrictions due to the Covid-19 outbreak, make no distinction between those who are clinically vulnerable and those who are not, although the Government's advice on social distancing does recommend that people are clinically vulnerable be especially careful and be diligent about social distancing and hand hygiene: www.gov.uk/government/publications/staying-alert-and-safe-social-distancing/staying-alert-and-safe-social-distancing-after-4-july#clinically-vulnerable-people
