2020 GCSE results not based on mocks, but a grade higher for college entrants.
Allow the teachers the power to improve a pupils grade based on "willingness" to learn, as many students do perform better once they have experienced a test and corrected their wrongs. Teachers can take into account attendance and attitude in order to award those one grade up who could have improved
Fairness for the families who are struggling enough during hard times, not to also struggle with their childrens future. Many of us have no idea where to go with further education in late adulthood let alone 15/16 years of age. Mentally this will deflate a lot of hard working children and crush their dreams. After the pandemic the kids can take mini GCSEs as "proof" of their grades in core subjects: English, Math, Science. Let them attend their course if they have one planned.
