Start to remove some lockdown measures now, move towards the swedish model
Start to remove some of the lockdown restrictions right now, with the aim of moving towards the swedish model. Start by allowing young children to go back to school and some non-essential businesses to open
NHS capacity has not been an issue, the nightingale hospitals are even mostly empty. The peak of cases has started to plateau. Other European countries have started to remove some of their restrictions. There is no reason we cannot move towards restrictions which are similar to Sweden. This would be more sustainable in the long term and would be a more appropriate response to the current situation. It is not necessary to continue with the level of lockdown that we have.
