reform how child maintenance calculates payments
at the moment child maintenance calculations are made from top line so before and tax and other deductions, this needs to change to after tax and deductions . and should not be a year on year calculation.
at the moment before pay is how calculations are made . but you pay a ex partner at after deductions which means you paying tax on money you dont get and the payments are higher , and hmrc states any deductions before tax are non taxable yet due to government ruling they its still taxed. it is a massive over sight and also re assessment every year to totally wrong as if someone has to work harder to get out of debt their ex benefits even more , how is this fair ... you push the paying parent further into debt
