Petition Action

Petition the BBC to report accurately on Covid 19 daily news.

Petition Details

Current daily briefings are given by the UK Govt. with press in attendance by video link. Many of the BBC questions are aimed at tripping up Govt. representatives by asking negative questions, hoping to receive answers which can be used negatively at a later date against the Govt.

Additional Information

The press should ask questions to which we want to know the answers. Instead they try to stoke panic and fear by asking leading and pessimistic questions to invoke negativity. The BBC’s own Political Editor, Laura Kuenssberg, is often the worst culprit. There appears to be a group of journalists jockeying to make a name for themselves by asking questions that catch somebody out. They should accept that we are in uncharted waters and need constructive, informative and accurate reporting.
